• Ashton Kutcher, Gwyneth Paltrow, Justin Bieber, and Snoop Dogg are among 60 new celebrity investors in fintech startup MoonPay. The company lets users buy cryptocurrencies using conventional payment methods like credit cards, bank transfers, or mobile wallets, such as Apple Pay and Google Pay.
• Binance has announced a $108 million investment in France and a partnership with Paris-based startup incubator Station F as the crypto exchange giant expands its footprint in Europe.
• Crypto payments company Circle announced a $400 million funding round on Tuesday.
• Robinhood seems to be adding four major cryptocurrencies to its roster, according to its website. These are the meme coin Shiba Inu, blockchains Solana and Polygon, and DeFi lending protocol Compound.
• Rappi, one of the biggest delivery companies in Latam, has launched a pilot project intending to accept cryptocurrencies as a payment method. • The Polygon network announced its commitment to going carbon neutral and climate positive this year by releasing their „Green Manifesto: A Smart Contract with Planet Earth.“ They also made a $20 million pledge to offset their carbon footprints and eventually buy extra credits to become carbon negative.
• The town of Sorradino in Argentina’s Santa Fe Province could begin to mine crypto in a bid to raise the money needed for its rail infrastructure upgrade.
