Good morning and happy Tuesday, everyone! I hope you all had a good extended holiday weekend. Moving forward we have a shortened week ahead of us in the market. With the stock market closed yesterday, stock futures edged lower in premarket trading. Recalls continue across the globe and Oil prices jumped after EU leaders reached an agreement late Monday to ban 90% of Russian crude by the end of the year. Things are great! Some of the companies releasing earnings today are Salesforce, HP and Victoria’s Secret.

• The European Union agreed to ban most oil imports by the end of the year as a part of new measures designed to punish Russia over its invasion of Ukraine.
• Siemens Mobility has signed a contract to develop a new electric high-speed line in Egypt, which will link 60 cities across the country.
• The Chinese government is facing a $1 trillion funding gap linked to tax refunds, weaker economic production, and lost land sales revenue.
• AMC apes are quite happy as stocks of their beloved AMC soared on the news of Top Gun Maverick hitting the big screen.
• U.S. and Canadian regulators are investigating a hepatitis outbreak that may be linked to……fresh organic strawberries? Yes, you read that right. The culprits are Strawberries sole between March 5 and April 25.
• US airlines cancelled more than 2,500 flights over the memorial day weekend as the industry faces shortages from the last few years.
• As the global peanut butter recall expands to cover more brands, products, and locations, Walt Disney World has now discontinued all food items containing the ingredient. So don’t be buying peanut butter strawberries any time soon.
